The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Agbor Division of the Nigeria Police force, CSP Fasugba Temitope was on Thursday, 28th March, 2019 quoted to have said that policing in Agbor will no longer be business as usual as his men are fully out to face the task of policing.
He made this statement during the welcome ceremony organized in honour of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Agbor Area Command, ACP Saleh Samaila who embarked on a familiarization tour to the Agbor Division Office opposite Nigeria Prison Service , along Old Lagos-Asaba Road, Agbor.
He said, “Since I came they have been calling for one problem or the other and I have been telling them to wait after election but now that the election is over we are going to face the real task of policing Agbor. It will not be business as usual again. If you have families, warn your families or children.

He continued, “We will do our best to preserve human right. Some people cannot trample on the right of other people, we will not allow it”. He therefore called on all the security operatives to co-operate in order to achieve their aim adding that the criminals are not invincible. The DPO noted that the police force have been able to reduce crime rate to a relatively low rate stressing that the strategy they mapped out to check the menace of crime has yielded positive results.
Reacting to questions asked by some members of the force, the Area Commander, ACP Saleh Samaila said, “The vigilante group suppose to work within their immediate communities. If you just want to take advantage of people because you are in vigilante group then the aim is defeated. The criminals are not spirit, if you see any strange face in your community you have the right to find out what is going on. The work we are doing here is a sacrificial work”. He asserted that all hands must be on deck to achieve success in community policing.
Also speaking, the Chairman, Police Community Relation Committee, Mr. Igheghe Darlington Edobor advised that appropriate care should be taken while disseminating information to people as some crimes are sponsored by some politicians.
Also, lending their voices at the welcome ceremony, Mr. Jude Emyosa, the Anti-cult commander, SP Omosigho Nathaniel, the Division Officer of Ekuku-Agbor and Mr. Friday Okoh, the Chairman of Delta North Security Network.
The high point of the event was the presentation of gift to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Agbor Area Command, ACP Saleh Samaila by the Divisional Police Officer.
