NGWOKOR VIES FOR IKA N/EAST COUNCIL CHAIRMANSHIP SEAT

Engr. Jackson Teddy Ngwokor, has declared his intention to vie for Ika North East Local Government Council chairmanship seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC. The Umunede born businessman cum politician, made his intention known to the public last Saturday, when he met with the APC members in the local government at the party’s Secretariat in Boji-Boji, Owa.

According to Ngwokor, “I have come to tell our good people of Ika North East Local Government that I have joined the race for the chairmanship seat in our council. I am out to help better the lives of our people and not to impoverished them. I am out to transform our local government for the good of our people and not to amass wealth. I have all it takes to govern our local government, hence, I have come to inform you about my plans so that together we will move our local government forward. My top priorities are; quality education, health, agriculture, security and youth/women empowerment. APC is a great party, we will take over the governance of Ika North East in the next council election. I urge you all to remain committed to the APC for it is the only political party in Ika North East that will bring democratic dividends to your door steps.”

The APC Chairman, in Ika North East, Mr. Sunny Onyejose, while welcoming Ngwokor and his entourage, expressed hope that APC will win landslide in the next council election in the area. He called on all those aspiring under the platform of APC in Ika North East to work hard, declaring that only hardworking, popular and qualified aspirants will be given tickets.

Engr. Robinson Chidi, a friend to Ngwokor, in an interview said they are fully prepared for the council election. He described Ngwokor as a technocrat, intelligent businessman cum politician who will bring his vast experience to bare if he becomes Ika North East Council Chairman.He said he is optimistic that Ngwokor will emerge victorious at the poll because the people need change which only the APC can offer. He therefore called on the people of the local government to throw their full weight behind Ngwokor’s ambition as he is not going to disappoint them when elected into office.
