Mr. Benjamin Ogwu has described the newly re-built Uweifo Primary School at Ewuru in Delta State as a divine project. He said this in an interview with Ika Weekly Newspaper reporter during the commissioning of the school which took place at the school’s compound on Thursday, April 11, 2019.
Uweifo Primary School which was built in 1955 and formerly known as Local Authority Primary School Ewuru, witnessed a touch of change and renovation in 2017 with the building of three classroom blocks.

Many great men and women of Ewuru community, like Sir John Orewa, Mr. Benjamin Ogwu, Mr. Steve Ekiri-Mekiriuwa Ashien, and the noble Egede family, the owners of Prince Ebeano Supermarket and the instrument God has used to bring an overhaul development to the school, passed through Uweifo Primary school.
According to Mr. Ogwu, “It is a divine project. God has called the donor to come to our aid. In most primary schools in Ewuru and this part of the country, we lack basic infrastructure that will help improve the learning process of the pupils. Even when it is the responsibility of the government to put this in place particularly in our public schools, yet, it is a thing of joy and blessing if well placed individuals in our communities will render such services as a way of giving back to the society. God well pleased with such people.”
Speaking further, he said, “God has seen our pains and has heard our cries, hence, He brought Prince Ebeano Supermarket to execute this divine project. It is so wonderful. Our collective prayers for the family and all who in one way or the other have their hands in the accomplishment of the marvelous work, is for the Almighty God who rewards everyone accordingly, to keep blessing them and give them the good health and peace to reap the good fruit of their labour.”
The newly re-built school is so far the best in Ewuru and neigbouring communities. It can also compete favourably with other primary schools anywhere in the state, the federation and even the world at large.
As a show of appreciation to the Egede family, the owners of Prince Ebeano Supermarket, the people of Ewuru community said a joint prayer for them for the Heavenly Father who rewards every work to continually be with them.
