RE: OPEN LETTER TO HON VICTOR NWOKOLO BY MR. PETER ABIAMUWE

HON. VICTOR NWOKOLO

Referring to a letter written by one published in Ika Weekly Newspaper on the 30th June, 2018.Mr. Peter Abiamuwe, Sir, you should not have dragged the Governor’s name into these lies knowing fully well that our amiable Governor always dwell on the side of truth.

In as much as you claimed that the Governor solicited for support for Hon. Victor Nwokolo in the buildup of  the 2015 Primaries and General elections from the good people of Ika South LGA based on equity (which I do not agree with you though), was that agreement to support Hon. Nwokolo honoured ?

ABIAMUWE PETER

Were the circumstance/parameters at that time honoured in today’s politics?

I also want to bring your attention, Mr. Peter Abiamuwe to this your wrong perception that Governor Okowa, The Road Master picked the PDP ticket in 2015 solely based on equity/rotation.

No, not entirely true.

His closest rival in that Primary election was from Delta Central.

He got the ticket because he is loved by all, trusted and has the grace of God on him.

Always get your facts right before rushing to the media.

I want to also ask you, Mr. Peter Abiamuwe three questions.

(One) Who were the PDP aspirants in House of Reps primary election in 2015?

(a) Ika South LGA and (b) Ika South LGA too.

Two of them from Ika South LGA contesting against Hon Victor Nwokolo after you claimed that they supported him

(Two) Who was the closest rival to Hon Nwokolo in that primary election?

(Three) Did the unorganized opposition party (Accord Party) present her candidate from Ika South in 2015?  Yes. They did.

She was a former member of House of Reps. in 2007 to 2011. She was also the candidate of PDP for House of Representative in 2011 and lost the general election.

So, where is equity here?

With all these, was the alleged agreement to support Hon Victor Nwokolo honoured?

PDP has been the party on ground in Ika Federal Constituency since 1999 and has maintained the principles of equity and fair play especially for House of Representative position.

In 1999, PDP gave her ticket to Ika North East.

In 2003, PDP gave her ticket to Ika South.

In 2007, PDP gave her ticket to Ika South.

In 2011, PDP also gave her ticket to Ika South.

In 2015, PDP gave her ticket to Ika North East.

Now we are pleading with our great party to balance this principle of equity/rotation in 2019 by giving the ticket to Ika North East LGA.

Ika is one indivisible, accommodating, happy and culturally united people.

Let’s not bring division with our utterances and wrong messages to our wonderful Ika People at home and abroad.

The Governor has done extremely well. He needs our prayers and not blackmail to do more.

May God continually bless you.

Hycent Uyanwanne from Umunede.
