REV FR. DIBIE RESTORES PEACE TO OWA-NTA COMMUNITY

The spiritual father, Lumen Christi Adoration Family, Rev. Fr. Mario Dibie, on Saturday, March 21, 2020 held a meeting with the Elders, Chiefs, community leaders and members of Edie, Okwue and Osimi; the three quarters of Owa-Nta community in Ika North East Local Government Area at his church in Owa-Nta, to discuss the various issues affecting the growth and development of the community. At the end of the meeting, everybody went home smiling, saying, “at last, God has used our son, Rev. Fr. Mario Dibie to unite us and establish a lasting peace in our land”

Addressing the community members during the meeting, Rev. Fr Dibie appreciated them for deeming it fit to honour his invitation and prayed God to bless them.

He encouraged each and every one of them to embrace love, togetherness and unity so that good things will continue to come to the community.

Continuing, the man of God noted that he was very optimistic that God would definitely answer his prayers which he said was to ensure that all sons and daughters of Owa-Nta community to move forward in life.

He gave room for everyone to speak on issues bordering them and suggest what they thought would help solve such challenges. At the end of the discussion and suggestions, Fr. Dibie prayed for them and admonished them to desist from violence, court cases and things they know would not bring a good name to the community and they should begin to love one another so that the spirit of God would dwell in their land.

He concluded by promising that in no distant time, he would invite all indigenes of Owa-Nta community; both at home and in Diaspora to the same venue to celebrate with them over the peace and unity God has restored to the land. He said the event would be tagged, “Owa-Nta Day”.

The Oahorieze of Owa kingdom, Chief Nwachukwu also thanked Fr. Dibie for bringing the community together as one. He also appreciated Barr. Ifeanyi Williams Agholor whom he said was the pillar behind the successful establishment of Fr. Dibie’s Prayer Garden Centre in Owa-Nta and other meaningful development in Owa-Nta Idumuetor community.

Chief Egwu while encouraging all Owa-Nta indigdnes to love one another disclosed that with Revd. Fr. Dibie, Owa-Nta community will be more united and peaceful. He stressed that he was among those who kicked against Barr. Agholor’s  discussion to allocate the community cemetery along Owa-Ofie Road to Revd. Fr. Dibie to build his church, but today, Fr. Dibie and his church are making a lot of difference in the community.

On this note, Chief Egwu said today, Barr. Agholor is his best friend and his decision has brought development to Owa-Nta community

Also contributing, the Ogunami of Owa kingdom, Chief Nduka Ikehi said that he was the happiest man to be part of the peace-loving community, Owa-Nta. He called on all sons and daughters of Owa-Nta community to adhere to the advice of the Godsent son of their land, Rev. Fr. Dibie.

He stressed that what gives him joy about the newly embraced peace and unity in Owa-Nta community is that the money they used to spend in the court of law every year will now be used for the development of their land and train their children.

Other members of the community who spoke to commend the new development in Owa-Nta community were Barr. Ifeanyi Agholor, chairman Human Rights Restoration Movement (HRRM) and others.

Also, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Owa Oyibu Police Division, Mr. Monday Osayi, ably represented by his Divisional Crime Officer (DCO), thanked Fr. Dibie for his good effort in uniting the community. He also appreciated members of the community for accepting to come together as one.

In addition, the DCO said that for any community to move forward, there are some sacrifices that are required such as peace, love, understanding, trust, sincerity, and togetherness. He concluded by calling on the community members to always unite and love one another so that the community will move to greater heights.
