Sequel to the purported recruitment claims by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) which flooded the internet early this week, the Delta State Chairman of the Board, Hon. Sunny Ogwu has disassociated the board from it.
According to a statement issued by the Secretary of the Board, Sir Byron Unini, on behalf of the board Chairman, he described the recruitment claim as false, misleading and fraudulent, stating that the board is not recruiting teachers. The statement disregarded the claims, enjoining members of the public to be mindful of unscrupulous and fraudulent members of the public who are out to take undue advantage of other unsuspecting public to cause mayhem and extort people by giving them false hope of securing employment placing within the board.
While refuting the false recruitment claim, sir Unini emphasized that: “for the avoidance of doubt, the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), has not embarked on any recruitment exercise as alleged” adding that the information was false and misleading and advised members of the public to disregard it.
The statement further enjoined members of the public to beware of unscrupulous elements and fraudsters who may want to take undue advantage of them by giving false hope of securing employment placements for them in the Board.
Refuting the claims in a telephone conversation, with Ika Weekly Newspaper, the Chairman of the Board, Hon. Sunny Ogwu advised the general public to ignore the message stating that it is a false message propagated by some hoodlums in the society to defraud victims.
