A source from the local security outfit told Ika Weekly Newspaper reporter during the week, that they were on their daily patrol when they received a tip off from a woman who was on her way back from the farm.
The source disclosed that the woman told them that she saw some strange and suspected Fulani men who were riding three Qlink motorcycles with two on each of the motorcycles (six men).
According to the source, “The woman told us that the men were six in number and that they went down the farm road; So, we went to the direction the woman gave to us and even went passed through the popular “Mkpitime” river.
“It was when we were still searching for them that we eventually saw them coming back and we stopped them, but upon interrogation, they said they were cattle rearers
“Though we did not find any weapon with them but truly, they did not look like cattle rearers, we did not see any cattle with them, they were neatly dressed.
Continuing he said, “So as to prevent being harmed by them us, we brought them home and handed them over to the Police in Umunede for further investigation and prosecution”, the source concluded.
