It was all smiles for the one hundred widows at Oza-Nogogo in Ika South LGA of Delta State on Monday October, 15 2018 when Prophet Joseph Igbodo in his philanthropic gesture visited and presented some food items and toiletries to the widows.
The General Overseer, Divine Faith Evangelical Mission International who is also the Proprietor, Job Orphanage Home and St. Stephen Trust Widows Home, all in Agbor, Prophet Joseph Igbodo in company of some of his Pastors were happily received by the widows who came from the various quarters of the community at the church auditorium of Christ Abundant Miracle Ministry, Oza-Nogogo.
In a brief exhortation, taking his Bible reading from the book of Luke 2:36-37, Prophet Igbodo enjoined the widows to be steadfast and committed to the work of God just like Anna in the Bible, a Prophetess, the daughter of Phannuel from the tribe of Asser, saying that the woman was a virgin from childhood until she got married to her husband whom she lived with for only seven years before the husband died.
He disclosed that Anna in her condition as a widow even at the age of eighty-four years never departed from the temple of God but served God with fasting and prayer day and night. He informed the women that Anna, not minding her condition of being a widow, gave thanks continually unto God and spoke of the Lord through evangelism to all those that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.
Continuing, the Prophet of God informed the widows that the visit was a divine mission aimed at making them to know God and be steadfast with Him so that they and their children will continue to enjoy the goodness of God, saying that as widows, they are wives of God, hence when they live a righteous life, God will continually answer their prayers whenever they call on Him. He emphasized that through their commitments in the work of God and their prayers, they will witness speedy development.
Speaking further, Prophet Igbodo charged the widows who are yet to give their lives to God to do so immediately for God is a great provider who is always ready to bless them and their children. He encouraged them to always pray for their children in order for them to enjoy the blessings and protection from God.
He urged them to love God and desist from sin and evil activities so that they can fully benefit from the bountiful blessings and mercy of God.
Items presented to the widows include; 50 Cartons of Indomie noddles, 12 Cartons of Bobo fruit juice, 3 cartons of Caprison, 3 Cartons of Cabin Biscuits, 13 rolls of tissue paper, 5rolls of Cheese Balls, 5packets of Sweet, toilet soaps and other items.
Prophet Igbodo in his usual manner while presenting the items informed the women that his money is not in the items but were provided by God through spirited individuals and organizations, urging them to always remember him and the donors in prayers.
Highpoint of the visit was the praise and worship session. The prayer session featured prayers for the community, the leaders of the community, Prophet Igbodo, his team, the widows and their families.
