STOP GIVING US OVER-ESTIMATED BILLS – Okwuokenye Tells BEDC

The Delta North Co-ordinator of Committee for Defense of Human Rights (CDHR) Comr. Engr. Charles Okwuokenye has during an interview with newsmen, charged the staff of Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC to stop giving them over-estimated bills, rather they should supply prepaid meters to all their customers in their respective residence.

Speaking, the Ute-Born human rights activist, urged the Business Manger of BEDC, Mr. Curtis Nwadei to either provide prepaid meters to their customers or make all household to be paying not more than Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) monthly, noting that it is the responsibility of the electricity company to supply prepaid meters to their customers. He advised the BEDC Business Manager to caution his staff whom he said go about carrying peoples cables after disconnecting it from the electricity poles, because the committee for Defense of Human Rights will not tolerate that which he described as criminal offense and unconstitutional anymore. While calling on Mr. Nwadei to properly advise his staff to stop hunting their customers, Comrade Okwuokenye used the medium to inform him that in no distant time, members of CDHR in Delta North will storm Ika nation with her residents to embark on a peaceful demonstration against BEDC criminal acts.
