The member representing Ika North East Constituency at the Delta State House Of Assembly (DHA), Hon. Tony Elekeokwuri has officially declared his intention to re-contest for his current position come 2019 General Election.
The feeling and intention to retain his Legislative Position at the Delta State House Of Assembly come 2019 was officially expressed by the serving Legislator on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Hotel De Kessiah in Boji Boji Owa. Declaring his intention, Hon. Tony Elekeokwuri first appreciated his Constituents across the local Government for their supports and prayers in his previous elections.
Speaking further, the Legislator, Tony Elekeokwuri appealed to the constituents to support his re-election in 2019 the same way they whole heartedly supported him in 2015. In his words “I have come to thank you all my Constituents and Supporters for voting massively for me in my 2015 elections. I am also on my knees appealing to you all to give your supports; I promise by the special grace of God, I will not disappoint you people. I also want you all to support our Father and our Mentor, His Excellency Senator Dr, Ifeanyi Okowa, the Executive Governor of Delta State in his intention to come back for a second tenure”, he said.
Tony Elekeokwuri further disclosed that in this past three years and few months he has spent in office as a member of Delta House of Assembly, he has been able to represent the People’s interest and welfare effectively by sponsoring bills that are very relevant to the Society. He assured that if he returns to the house in 2019, he will do more than he is doing.
