Majority of the communities in Ika North East LGA of Delta State, which comprised, Umunede, Akumazi-Umuocha Owerre-Olubor, Ute-Ogbeje, Igbodo and environs, will now be enjoying stable electricity supply; following the energizer of the completed work on the extension of the existing feeder that supplies power from the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) distribution station in Agbor.
According to Mr. Curtis Nwadei, the Business Manager of the Agbor Business Unit of BEDC, in a chat with newsmen at the site of work, informed the press that the feeder to the benefiting communities was energized on Saturday September 23, 2017, hence with the positive development, electricity consumers in those areas henceforth will enjoy if not one hundred percent but at least seventy percent of what Agbor environs are enjoying in terms of electricity supply.
Mr. Nwadei, used the opportunity to reassure BEDC esteemed customers of the company’s resolve to satisfy their yearnings of stable power supply. However, he solicited for the customers to play their part effectively by paying their bills, this being the major source through which the organization will have enough funds to do better than what they are doing presently.
