Speaking further, the Council, through the Secretary of the Palace, Chief Moses Osiadi countered all the allegations of dementia, imprisonment and inhuman treatment on the Crown Prince, pointing out that it was a fictitious story. According to him, “Our crown prince finished from Nana Apori Comprehensive High school in Ogun state where he made excellent result. He is waiting for his admission into Federal Polytechnic, Auchi. All the allegations from the Obi’s former wife are false because we have seen with our eyes. We have seen and met with the crown prince. We have also met our Obi and he told us his own version of the story. All documents to buttress this issue have been presented to us. Those who are behind this incident will be brought to book. We are not going to fold our hands and do nothing. All the perpetrators of this act will be apprehended”. Chief Osiadi condemned the attitude of the publisher of the story, stressing that though he (Chief Osiadi) is not a journalist, he would have come to interview the traditional ruler so as to balance the story.
