UTE-OKPU TO GET FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE

An illustrious son of Ute-Okpu Kingdom, Ika North East Local Government Area and Consultant to the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Chief Barrister Felix Okonti has enjoined his people to be prayerful for more development to come, disclosing that the community will soon be a host to Federal University of Agriculture.
Chief Okonti who holds the prestigious chieftaincy title of Obadan of Ute-Okpu Kingdom made this known while soliciting for the support of the honourable members of the Federal House of Representatives that accompanied Hon. Chamberlain Nnamdi Dunkwu PhD for his thanksgiving as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Federal House of Representatives on Sunday, September 24 2023, at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Ute-Okpu.
According to him, “Dunkwu and I are not relenting in bringing Ute-Okpu to limelight. Federal University of Agriculture is coming to Ute-Okpu. The bill has passed the first reading.
“I want to openly appeal to the Honourable members of the Federal House of Representatives to please continue to rally around Dunkwu by supporting the bill and our people will forever be grateful.
With standing ovation and thunderous accolades while approaching to the microphone for his speech, Hon. Dr. Chamberlain Nnamdi Dunkwu disclosed that members of House of Representatives present were those that made it possible for his boss, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen to emerge as Speaker, House of Representatives.
He appreciated them and all who came to honour him and rejoice with him for his elevation, saying that he is indeed grateful.
He affirmed that it was not just a day to celebrate his home-coming but also to celebrate the liberation of Ika Federal Constituency and a day to celebrate the victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He disclosed that the government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of his boss, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen will bring a lot of development to Ika Federal Constituency, saying that all the projects they carried out in Ute-Okpu in the last four years will be replicated in all communities in Ika Federal Constituency.
He charged them to be patient with the government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying that things will soon be better.
