Engr. Steve Ivianigbor the contractor handling the building projects of Uweifo Primary School, Ewuru in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, has assured the community that his Lagos based building company, popularly known as, “G.T. Properties Technology Limited,” will complete the school’s projects within 12 weeks from now.
The assurance was made by the building contractor, Engr. Ivanigbor recently while welcoming the Secretary, Ika South Local Government Education Authority (LEA), Hon. Aminu Imasua Chief Augustine Emenim, the Iyase of Agbor kingdom and other Ewuru Community leaders who came to inspect the on-going building projects. The new building of 5-classrooms in each of the blocks at Uweifo Primary School, according to the project Engineer, was made available for the Ewuru Community by their son, Prince Sunday Egede, C.E.O. Ebeno Super Market, Lagos.
Speaking further, the projects Engineer disclosed that the Ewuru born Lagos based illustrious son, Prince Sunday Egede has made so millions of naira available for the building of the Uweifo Primary School, noting that he is assuring the community that the projects will be completed in 12-weeks. Having said that the Engineer noted that their agreement with prince Egede is to demolish the entire blocks and build many blocks that will contain 5 classrooms each with a bigger room for computer sets and other electronic devices.
Speaking further, the Engineer promised to deliver the job with high quality and standard materials. He stated that when they first came to the school, the buildings were dilapidated.
Speaking during the inspection, the Secretary, Ika South Local Government Education Authority (LEA) Hon Aminu Imasua commended Prince Egede for deeming it necessary to provide such prestigious projects in his community. He thanked him very much for coming to add value to the living and the educational standards of the children in Ewuru community and its envirous. He described the project as a welcome development and used the medium to assure Prince Egede that with him as the Secretary (LEA) in Ika South, all equipment and library materials that will be brought to the school will be judiciously used by the pupils and their teachers.
Others, who spoke with newsmen in appreciations of the good works of Prince Egede, include; the Iyase of Agbor kingdom, Chief Augustine Emenim, Mr. Benjamin Ogwu, the community leader and Mr. Babylon Eboma, PTA chairman. In a separate remark, the community leaders thanked their brother and son, Prince Sunday Egede, for coming to their aid, saying that Prince Egede has been of immense assistance to them especially in the area of the children’s education and community development in general. They prayed God to bless him and all members of his family continuously.
