WE ARE GRATEFUL TO OKOWA, SAYS BALEKE MARKET TRADERS

Baleke Market Women/Men Traders Association, Agbor the headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area, expressed appreciation to the Delta State governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on the ongoing reconstruction work at the market.

The association, speaking in a message of gratitude to Okowa and signed by her President, Mrs. M.E Ebomah said, “We the entire Baleke Market Women/Men Traders Association, Agbor are indeed full of joy amid appreciation to our amiable and hardworking Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for the many good things he has done for us with the ongoing reconstruction work at the market.

“Most importantly, the speedy and quality work no doubt is worthy of commendation and testimony of Governor Okowa’s resolve to fast track human and capital development in Delta State.

“In this vein, we are wholeheartedly thankful to Okowa, our revered monarch, His Royal Majesty Dr. Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekuzi I, the Dein of Agbor Kingdom, our House of Assembly representative, Hon. Festus Chukwuyem Okoh, also known as Chuky Dandy and the Ika South Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Evang. Sunny Tatabuzogwu for the actualization of the project work”.

Continuing, the gro up used the opportunity to remind the governor of their earlier request before the commencement of the reconstruction work in the market through a letter issued by their law firm, E.O. Ebomah and Co. dated 5th of February, 2021 that upon completion of work, preference should be given to the original owners since the early 1960s to have their lockup and open stores/shops back.

The group further prayed to God to bless Okowa for his good works in the State. They also condoled with the Governor on the celebration of the demise of his father, Sir Chief Arthur Okorie Okowa on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
