The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ika North East L.G.A of Delta State, Mr. Sunny Onyejose has stated that APC in Ika North East are recovering from their lost glory, saying that it is a victory for the party. He made this known during a meeting with party members from the 14 wards on Wednesday April 10, 2019 at Memeh Street Boji-Boji Owa.
Mr. Onyejose noted that elections and court cases had come and gone, calling on all members of APC in Ika North East to come back to the party which according to him is led by him, adding that he is always ready to welcome them back to the party. The chairman disclosed that the meeting was called to discuss ways forward over the party, hinting that they cannot be stagnant.

Continuing, Mr. Onyejose also stated that there is need for them to unite, pointing out that with unity, commitment, sincerity and hardwork, the party would soar. According to him, “We are one great family, we don’t want to entertain any faction in Ika North East. We want to remain a strong force.
I am appealing to all members of the party to sheath their swords. I need everybody to be a family. People can make mistake. Let us forget what has happened. We are brothers and sisters. We want everybody to come together so that we can successfully achieve good result”. Mr. Onyejose urged all to be patient and remain loyal to the party, assuring them of good things which he said would soon knock at their door”.
On their part, Engr. Isaac Iyadi, Mr.Ewere C. Egwu, Mr. Anthony Okwuokei, Chukwuka Osekwute, Mr. Benjamin Ikeazu in their separate remarks stressed that there is need for them to put away things capable of ruining the party, saying that they must continue to strive towards winning elections. They called for reconciliation of members and overhauling of some leadership offices, as it would help the party move to greater height. They urged the party chairman to carefully handpick faithful and committed leaders that would help him drive the party to the promise land.
