Members of Team Smart, a socio-political group in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, led by Florence Chuks, the Co-Ordinator, have disclosed that their major purpose of forming the group “Team Smart”, is to deliver His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for a second tenure as Delta State Governor, come 2019, as well as supporting all projects of the State Government.
Addressing the political forum whose membership cuts across the 25 local government areas of Delta State, the Co-ordinator, Florence Chuks, noted that the duty of every member of Team Smart is to support Governor Okowa and all PDP’s affairs. She emphasized that as part of their supports towards enhancing quick achievement of the Smart Agenda of the Delta State Government on Education, Team Smart as a group under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has started showcasing what she tagged, “A Team Smart Diary”.
This Team Smart Diary according to her has to do with showcasing of some of the good works Governor Okowa has done and his intentions to do more. In this Diary, She said, Governor Okowa ‘s free extra moral lessons for JSS1 to JSS3 and SS1 to SS3, will soon kick off at the premises of Owa-Model Secondary School, Owa-Ekei Road, Boji Boji Owa. She used the medium to call on all parents to encourage their children to attend the free extra moral lessons as several experienced and qualified teachers in various educational fields will be coming to teach them. The date and time, according to her are 4-6pm every Wednesday and Friday.
The Team Smart Co-ordinator therefore charged all Ika Residents who have not collected their Provisional Voter’s Card (PVC), to urgently do so, to enable them participate in the next election, come 2019 by voting for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and all candidates of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP). She stated that the good things Governor Okowa has done so far across the three Senatorial Districts in Delta State since he assumed office as the Executive Governor of Delta State were not done by the EX-governors in their two tenures each. She mentioned that Governor Okowa should be supported for a second tenure because of his numerous achievements such as road construction, men, women and youths empowerment in various programmes, building and renovation of hospitals and schools.
She concluded by appealing to all Deltans on behalf of the group to make sure they all have their voter’s cards for the next elections, and come out en-masse to vote for Governor Okowa and all candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) come, 2019.
Also speaking in the same vein, Governor Okowa’s Special Aide, Princess Anni Efeizomor, urged the group and all Ika residents to continue to support PDP and the administration of the Delta State Government in order to enhance a more unique and formidable party. She appealed to the residents to consider the fact that Governor Okowa is from their local government and based on that, he should be supported to achieve his aims of being re-elected into office, come 2019.
She appealed to all parents to encourage their children to take advantage of the Team Smart Governor’s Free Extral Mural Lessons as scheduled which will hold on the said dates an ensure that they send their children/wards.
