Vincent Arimokwu who was addressing market women at CTC market when he visited to find out the extent of the demolition of some stores in the market, noted that about 3 to 4 years ago, when the former Chairman, Hon. Fred Ofume wanted to lease the market and Government Field, Agbor for ninety nine years, he and the association stopped him, and today, another confusion is being created.

Continuing, he wondered how a contractor would start destroying public property without approval or contract agreement from the Government, adding that there is more to the whole action

Mr. Arimokwu stated that the people of Agbor would resist any form of oppression as he described the act as an insult to them.

He called on the market women not to allow the developer to remain on site as he has no right to be there, noting that if the Local Government wants to renovate the market, due process should be followed.
