WE YET TO FEEL THE IMPACT OF NWOKOLO, CHUKY-DANDY, ELEKEOKWURI – Irunkwor

Friday Irunkwor

A community leader, trado-medical practitioner, Mr. Friday Irunkwor has frowned at what he described as self-centered representation of the member representing, Ika nation at the Federal House Representatives, Hon. Victor Nwokolo, alongside the Delta State House of Assembly Representatives, Hon. Anthony Elekeokwuri of Ika North East LGA, and Hon. Festus Okoh, popularly known as Chuky Dandy of Ika South LGA.

While expressing dissatisfaction, Mr. Irunkwor stated that Hon. Nwokolo, Elekeokwuri, and Okoh have failed woefully in their representation for the fact that the people cannot account for any good their representation has brought to their constituency.

According to him, “I describe their representation as self-centered because it is solely aimed at amassing wealth for themselves and thus failing in their primary objective of representing the people.

“It is so shameful and unfortunate that the Ika third term House of Representative member; Hon. Victor Nwokolo who we only see during the election period canvassing for votes cannot organise a town hall meeting to give an account of his stewardship to the people for good eleven years of his representation.

“I have continued to wonder the nature of the representation of Nwokolo, Elekeokwuri, and Okoh without organizing town hall meetings once or twice yearly to listen to the plights of the people who voted them in for them to give an account of their stewardship.

“I have also continued to wonder why their few beneficiaries who are either their loyalist of party members would be calling them silent achievers without proof of their achievement”.

Continuing, Pa. Irunkwor demanded to know how Hon. Nwokolo, Elekeokwuri, and Okoh have been spending their constituency allowances which he said are meant for their constituencies in form of project execution.

He further noted that community leaders, as well as political leaders who ought to have questioned their poor representation, have remained mute because they are among the loyalist on their list of beneficiaries and therefore have sold their conscience for money and material gains.

Pa. Irunkwor, therefore, challenged Hon. Nwokolo, Elekeokwuri, and Okoh to prove him wrong that they are doing well by coming publicly to account for their stewardship. The people can then assess them, rather than being a silent achievers without nothing to be remembered for when they finally leave office.

He specially thanked Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his good deeds in the Ika nation and Delta State in general which according to him speak well of governance, while praying the good Lord to bless him.
