There were shouts of victory and tears of joy at Divine Freedom Church of Christ, Agbor – Obi, Agbor recently as the family of Mr. and Mrs. Dominic Nnenu welcomed a set of twins at the church premises, after 14years of childlessness.
Narrating her ordeal all through the period of childlessness to Ika Weekly Newspaper reporter at the church where she put to bed, Mrs. Ogechukwu Nnenu said she had tried so many herbs, went to so many places for solution, but they all proved abortive, until she met the General Overseer of Divine Freedom Church of Christ and his wife, Rev and Pastor Mrs. L.O Johnson, who interceded on her behalf, as well as the congregation and other men of God.
Prior to the birth of the twins, a boy and a girl, she said she came all the way from Onitsha where she resides to the church at Agbor Obi on the day of Labor, to be delivered by the Matron of Divine Orphanage Home, and she delivered within 30mins, like the biblical Hebrew women.
She expressed happiness, saying that her situation taught her a lot of lessons, she thanked the G.O and his wife for their prayers, and also encouraged other women who are waiting on God for the fruit of the womb not to lose hope, saying that “if God has not sanctioned a thing, whatever measures you take to make it come to pass will fail, unless God sanctions it”.
Mrs. Nnenu who got married in 2002, had a still birth in 2003, and since then, there has been no issue. She said she was mocked and called all sort of names, including barren, but said she trusted God for the fruit of the womb.
In a similar development, another member of the church, Mrs. Loveth Ojie, who hails from Oki 1, delivered another set of twins (girls) at the church premises at the early hours of Saturday 2nd September 2017. She gave glory to God for the bundles of joy that were added to her family. She was also delivered by the matron.
Mrs. Rosemary Johnson, Matron of Divine Orphanage home while speaking to Ika Weekly Newspaper, said in her five years of being a matron, and in the 10 years existence of the church, these were the 1st and 2nd set of twins the church had delivered, and it is coming in the wake of the 10th anniversary celebration of the Church.
She said the joy in the Church is cannot be quantified, especially as the deliveries of both set of twins were without stress, just like the case of the Hebrew women. She encouraged women who are believing God for the fruit of the womb to stand firmly upon Gods word, saying that their time will come soon.
