YOU ARE NOT RECOGNISED IN OUR LAND, Ekuku-Agbor Community Tells Anioma Security Watch Network
By Sunday Memeh
The Uboh, Ezehamosi Ezeriohaye 1 and Elders in Council of Ekuku-Agbor Community in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, have reacted to a previous publication of Ika Weekly Newspaper, on page 6 of Volume 126, with the Caption, “Anioma Security Watch Network, Ekuku-Agbor Unit Warns Criminals To Steer Clear.”
Speaking with Ika Weekly Newspaper Reporter during an interview, the President General, Ekuku-Agbor Progressive Union, Comr. Simon Okocha, on behalf of the Uboh and Elders in Council, stated that the Uboh and entire members of Ekuku-Agbor Community were not happy when they saw and read what the people who claimed to be members of Anioma Security Watch Network, Ekuku-Agbor Unit wrote in Ika Weekly Newspaper.
He said having read through the report, the Uboh and Elders in Council, decided to react to it by letting the whole world know that the person who claimed to be the Chairman of the newly inaugurated security outfit, Mr. Emmanuel Obaka is an indigene of Egbudu-Akan in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State and not Ekuku-Agbor Community.
He said only two out of the fourteen persons on the picture are indigenes of Ekuku-Agbor Community, saying that others are native of Egbudu-Akan kingdom.
He noted that Ekuku-Agbor Community is not aware of the inauguration of the members of Anioma Security Watch Network. He also disclosed that if at all there were such security outfit in their land, the Uboh and Elders of Ekuku-Agbor Community must be involved and they must be the ones to constitute and inaugurate them.
The PG also pointed out that come rain, come sun somebody who is not a member of Ekuku-Agbor Community cannot head a security outfit in Ekuku-Agbor Community.
He therefore advised the general public to disregard the said publication and every information it contained about the inauguration of members of Anioma Security Watch Network in Ekuku-Agbor Community as they are not known or recognized by the community.
