Mammoth crowd never ceased to flock around Hon. Sebastine Okoh as he carries on his campaign for a seat in the Federal House of Representative. Wednesday April 18, 2018 was no exception as supporters were seen rallying round him as he commenced his familiarization tour to the royal fathers in Ika land for royal blessings. This was to show his love and respect for the customs and traditions of his people, just as it is believed that monarchs are God’s representatives on earth.
During his visit to Umunede Royal Palace as a starting point, Hon. Sebastine Okoh thanked the monarch, HRM Dr. Ezeagwu Ezenwali Agadagidi I. JP for receiving him and his entourage to his palace. He stated that he deemed it necessary to officially come to inform him of his desire to contest for the seat of House of Representative, and to seek his blessing.
Responding, HRM Ezeagwu Ezenwali welcomed Sebastine Okoh and his entourage to his palace. He described Sebastine as a good and illustrious son of Umunede who is not greedy, urging his followers, especially the youths to ensure that they acquire their PVC as that remains the only ticket to accomplish their goal in voting in their mandate. The traditional ruler enjoined the people to avoid violence and remain law abiding, and advised them to support Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as 2019 general election draws closer. He prayed God to bless and reward them as they have left their various assignments to accompany Sebastine to his Palace.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the tour, one of the ardent followers of Sebastine Okoh, Mr. Michael Solomon a.k.a Sakura, expressed gratitude to God for the hitch free exercise. He noted that the mammoth crowd and supporters of Sebastine was a clear indication of victory, saying that he has come to break the political chain of captivity in Ika Nation. In his words; “Sebastine Okoh is a true son of Umunede who has come to bring succor to the poor, and to bridge the gap between political leaders and the peopleof Ika land. He is the man who has brought peace in Ika nation and the initiator of the popular Ika Carnival which has brought relief and happiness to many. Sebastine understands the plight of the masses and is good at putting smiles on their faces. Truly, he remains the best choice for the House of Representative” Mr. Solomon stated that the people have totally given their full mandate to Sebastine Okoh. He however urged the people to obtain their PVC, as it remains their only ammunition to dislodge their rivals.
